Critical path

What actually gates the date

  1. 01 Site survey Placement decides feasibility before capacity does. Pad, turning radius, and the distance to every utility.
  2. 02 Utilities Gas connection is frequently the long-lead item. Electrical is bigger than people expect.
  3. 03 Permit District permit where the placement requires one.
  4. 04 Delivery Trailer positioned and leveled.
  5. 05 Connections Utility runs out to the unit, made by your crew.
  6. 06 Startup Factory-authorized startup and handover.
What it is

The short version

A mobile boiler room brings the whole plant: boiler, burner, feedwater and deaeration, water treatment, chemical feed, controls, and often a stack, arranged inside a trailer or container. It is the answer when the permanent boiler room is gone, unusable, or too small to host a temporary unit alongside the existing plant.

They ask more of the site than a bare rental does: a level pad or parking area, a service-sized electrical connection, gas, water, and drainage all delivered outdoors. They remove almost all of the field assembly in exchange.

Specifying

What decides the selection

Site, first
Placement decides feasibility before capacity does. Pad or parking, turning radius for delivery, and how far the utilities have to run to reach it.
What is on board
Whether feedwater, treatment, and chemical feed come with it, or have to be assembled around it. This is the main difference between units that look comparable on paper.
Utility service
These draw more electrical service than people expect, and the gas connection is frequently the long-lead item.
Weather and enclosure
Whether the unit is genuinely weatherproof for the season it will run in.
Duration
Longer placements change both the commercial terms and the permitting.
