Planned Outage
Annual inspection, a retube, or a full replacement. The permanent unit comes down on a date you control, and the building still needs steam on the morning it happens.
Emergency Downtime
A failed vessel, a cracked section, or an inspector who red-tagged the plant. The clock started before you called, so the first question is what can physically be on site soonest.
Peak & Seasonal Load
Supplemental capacity through a cold snap or a process peak, where adding permanent capacity for a few weeks a year does not pencil.
Phased Changeover
A new plant that is not accepted yet, or a cutover run in stages so the facility never loses heat between the old boiler and the new one.
What we need to size a rental
Send what you have and we will tell you what is missing. Nothing here is a form to fill out. It is what a real answer depends on, and knowing it up front is the difference between a quote this week and a quote after three rounds of questions.
- Load and duty
- Pounds per hour of steam or BTU/hr, or simply the nameplate off the unit you are covering for. Tell us steam or hot water, and the operating pressure or temperature you have to hold.
- Fuel at the pad
- Natural gas, propane, or #2 oil, and for gas, the available pressure and line size. Undersized gas service is one of the most common reasons a rental will not make its rating on site.
- Electrical service
- Voltage, phase, and available amperage at the location. Trailer-mounted plants and their feedwater sets frequently need more than the spare breaker in the boiler room.
- Water and discharge
- Feedwater source and quality, whether softening or chemical feed comes with the unit, condensate return, and where blowdown and drains are going.
- Access and placement
- Gate and door widths, pad or parking for a trailer, rigging or crane needs, and stack clearance from the building and its air intakes.
- Dates
- Delivery date, expected duration, and whether the rate should be quoted weekly or monthly. Duration changes which unit is the right answer, not just the price.
- Air district
- Which district the site sits in, and whether the rental needs its own permit. Low-NOx limits vary by district and narrow the list of units that can be permitted. This is worth settling before anything is scheduled, not after.
What shows up, and what stays yours
We coordinate the unit and the equipment around it: feedwater and deaerator sets, softening and chemical feed, pumps, hoses, and trim, plus transport and rigging to the pad. We schedule factory-authorized startup with the manufacturer's technician.
Your crew makes the connections: gas, water, condensate, electrical, and stack. That is not a limitation we are apologizing for. We carry no service trucks and employ no field technicians, so the customer relationship on that site stays yours, during the rental and after it goes back.
